In your role as a senior structural engineer at Mi-Tech, you ll design a wide variety of temporary and permanent structures associated with the construction of utility, infrastructure and heavy civil projects.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
- 4 to 8 years of experience in the design of temporary works, heavy civil, or infrastructure projects
- Hold an active Professional Engineer license in any state
- Proficiency with MS Excel, Mathcad, AutoCAD, and Finite Element Analysis

- valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record as determined by the Michels Review Team
Nice To Haves
- Masters degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structures preferred
- Basic knowledge of geotechnical engineering and related structures (foundations, retaining walls, and earth retention systems)
- Previous construction field experience
Responsibilities
- developing calculation submittals
- coordinating development of design and shop drawings
- supporting project pursuits and bids through preliminary evaluations and analyses
- mentoring and supporting other engineers
- communication and coordination with design and field teams
- providing support to the Principal Engineer with any other assigned duties
