About The Position

This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining flight-critical embedded software for military and commercial aviation solutions and avionics products. You will utilize embedded Linux operating systems, C code, networking protocols, device drivers, hardware interface tools, simulations, and integrated development environments in creative ways for new products. The position requires specifying requirements, implementing software, developing test procedures, performing verification, and completing artifacts for certification. You will also perform hardware and low-level software integration, resolving complex issues around timing, device configuration, power-on sequences, data synchronization, and more. Coordination with other project team members is essential to ensure smooth operations and compliance with program and product requirements. Communication of technical progress, risks, opportunities, and necessary design alterations to software leads is also a key part of this role.

Requirements

  • At least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience as a Software Engineer or related role. In the alternative, at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field and at least 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related role.
  • At least 3 years of experience with LynxOS 178 Operating system, DO-178B/C processes, Device Driver and C library development, C/C++ and Python languages, requirements, design, test cases and test procedures development.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Avionics Embedded software development.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Software Verification and the following types of analysis: Object Code, Memory, Stack, Timing, Partitioning, Link and Structural Coverage Analysis.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Hardware Software integration on an Avionics platform.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
