About The Position

This role involves engaging in all stages of the product development life cycle for the Cabin Management system. The Senior Engineer, Software Engineering will lead execution across the development life-cycle from requirements capture through development and verification testing of multi-disciplinary teams. They will design and implement build procedures used to support hardware and software product development and use. The role also includes designing, developing, documenting, testing, and designing control and diagnostic systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. The engineer will conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determining end-user needs by analyzing system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, and input data acquisition is also a key part of the role. The engineer will innovate, design, develop, and implement technologies, components, sub-systems, machines, tools, and systems to ensure compliance with specifications, requirements, and customer guarantees across applicable operating conditions. Ensuring hardware and software standards are met, and that novel ideas and implementations are captured and protected using applications IP processes and tools are also critical responsibilities.

Requirements

  • At least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field and at least 5 years of progressive experience in an Embedded Systems Engineering or related position. In the alternative, at least a master’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field and at least 3 years of experience in Embedded Systems Engineering or related position.
  • At least 2 years of experience performing software development, integration and testing of aircraft lighting, audio/video, or cabin management systems.
  • At least 1 year of experience with markup languages like HTML, XML, databases like SQL, and computer scripting languages like Python, Perl.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with aircraft cabin management systems or in-flight entertainment systems development life cycle.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
