About The Position

Toyota's Digital Innovations team in the Supply Chain group is seeking multiple talented Full-Stack Software Engineers to join our development team. This role will focus on implementing and maintaining high-quality software solutions while collaborating with senior team members to deliver value to our customers. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Innovations, the person in this role will contribute to the Digital Innovations department's mission of building innovative and scalable software solutions to support deeply integrated customer experiences from buying and shopping through the supply chain. You will work as part of a fusion team — engineers, product, and supply chain operators working to a shared goal and a shared backlog, rather than a technology group taking requests from a business group. This is how Digital Innovations operates. Engineers are assigned to fusion teams based on priority and need, and you should expect to move between teams and across different parts of the supply chain as those priorities shift.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with React and modern development frameworks.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL/MongoDB, Node.js, and REST APIs, with front-end development using HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
• Strong knowledge of DOM manipulation, component development, and testing frameworks such as Jest, Vite, Cypress, and Playwright.
• Experience with ECMAScript and modern authorization mechanisms such as JSON Web Tokens.
• Strong background developing cloud-native solutions (preferably AWS).
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, agile methodologies, and version control systems (Git).
• Ability to write clean, well-documented code and contribute to technical discussions and problem-solving.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the persistence to dig to root cause rather than treat symptoms, and the habit of understanding the business problem before reaching for a solution.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools as an assistant in your engineering workflow, with the judgment to know where they help, where they do not, and how to keep quality and review standards intact.
• Curiosity about emerging technology and a willingness to experiment — trying new tools and approaches, learning quickly from what does not work, and sharing what you find with the team.
• Comfort working as part of a cross-functional fusion team and moving across different parts of the supply chain as priorities change.

Nice To Haves

• Demonstrated experience transforming large-scale applications.
• AWS Certified Developer / Solutions Architect (Associate) or equivalent cloud certifications.
• Experience with Kafka or other messaging/event-streaming platforms.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and API development.
• Exposure to observability tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, and AWS X-Ray.
• Experience with performance optimization and security best practices.
• Prior experience in supply chain, financial services, retail, or large-scale data environments.
• Experience mentoring junior developers and leading technical initiatives.
• Experience building with LLMs or AI agents in production applications — retrieval, tool calling, evaluation, or agentic workflows.
