Position Summary: Collaborate on a team to design and engineer complex mechanical products from concept through production, collaborating across internal teams, external suppliers, and vendors to deliver high-quality outcomes on demanding timelines. This role is a remote position and reports to the Head of Product Design on the Concept Team at Analog Devices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent 4-year undergraduate degree).
  • 5+ years of experience designing and engineering mechanical products.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and hands-on experience designing injection-molded, sheet metal, cast, and 3D-printed components, as well as complex mechanical assemblies.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks for part and assembly design, 2D drawing creation (GD&T), and industry-standard specification practices.
  • Ability to generate manufacturing-ready outputs, including files used for rapid prototyping and 3D printing workflows.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

  • Design and engineer complex mechanical products from concept through production.
  • Collaborate across internal teams, external suppliers, and vendors.
  • Deliver high-quality outcomes on demanding timelines.
  • Assist in driving complex projects.
  • Make critical engineering decisions.
  • Rapidly iterate concepts from early prototypes through refined designs.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for design controls throughout the FDA submission process.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally using email, text, and Microsoft Teams to enable effective project collaboration.
  • Communicate effectively with external suppliers and vendors (domestic and international).
