About The Position

Entegris is investing in a new Manufacturing Center of Excellence in Colorado Springs and is seeking a Senior Equipment Engineer to acquire custom equipment for its Microcontamination Control division. The position manages the equipment lifecycle, including project management, specification development, design review, vendor selection, procurement, validation, and commissioning. The engineer works with stakeholders across functions and global sites to deploy equipment that adds capacity, replaces older machines, supports new product introductions, and improves quality, safety, and ergonomics. The role collaborates with Facilities, R&D, Maintenance and Reliability, Automation and Controls Engineering, Quality, EHS, Procurement, and Operations. It analyzes manufacturing processes and uses methods such as Design for Manufacturing, Design for Maintenance and Reliability, HAZOP, risk assessment, and FMEA to develop equipment specifications. The engineer reviews equipment designs and related documentation, conducts vendor-site Functional Acceptance Tests, addresses punch-list issues, and coordinates equipment installation and qualification. The engineer develops project plans and maintains project documentation, including drawings, SOPs, specifications, FAT materials, cost tracking, and qualification procedures and data. In collaboration with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams, the role defines preventive-maintenance programs for new assets. The position may also support New Product/Process Engineering work, including troubleshooting, failure analysis, SPC, and quality and yield improvement, and provides guidance to teammates. Success is measured through teamwork, accountability for commitments and project constraints, creative problem-solving and risk mitigation, and thorough execution in support of departmental and group goals. The role is based in Colorado Springs and may require domestic or international travel, physical activity including lifting up to 50 pounds, PPE use, and work in a clean room as necessary.
