Work independently alongside other professional team members on environmental engineering projects for clients. Projects may include specialized services for wastewater, stormwater, surface water and groundwater management. As a technical staff member, perform tasks including regulatory analysis; quantitative data, statistical, and geospatial analyses; surface and groundwater monitoring and special studies; development of watershed and groundwater management plans and reports; Total Maximum Daily Load development, planning, and implementation pursuant to federal and state regulations; permitting for wastewater and stormwater pursuant to the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System established by federal law; salt and nutrient management planning and related civil or environmental engineering. Work as a project manager and/or assistant project manager on key projects, or as a technical lead for key services. Contribute to developing technical scopes of work, budget and staff allocation assessments, and contract schedules to keep projects on task and within budget. Maintain responsive communication with all team members and between project managers to ensure timely completion of simultaneous projects. Coordinate assigned staff’s project workload and meet monthly workload projection goals. Effectively communicate with clients; understand their needs and ensure work products meet them. Contribute to attaining and retaining clients through technical expertise and marketing efforts. Provide final review of all components of competitive proposals and serve as a critical regulatory advisor. Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
