About The Position

This position is specific to Building Automation Systems such as Tridium, Metasys, Desigo, Distech, EcoStruxure, etc. It requires expertise in block programming with Tridium Niagara, Schneider Electric Ecostruxure Building Operation system, (Desigo) Siemens Building Automation system, or (Metasys) Johnson Controls system, or other DDC Systems. The Application Engineer is independent, decisive, highly skilled, and an expert building automation system programmer passionate about driving innovation in building automation. They will be responsible for the programming, start-up, troubleshooting, and commissioning of DDC building automation systems, configuring and customizing control systems, creating software programs and front-end graphics, performing system diagnostics, recommending enhancements, coordinating customer training, and providing technical support.

Requirements

  • Expertise in Tridium Niagara, Schneider Electric Ecostruxure Building operation system, Siemens Building automation system or Johnson Controls systems.
  • Experience providing high quality programming per specifications, standards, budgets, and schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, contractors, engineers, and fellow team members.
  • Block programming experience with Tridium Niagara, Schneider Electric Ecostruxure Building operation system, (Desigo) Siemens Building automation system or (Metasys) Johnson Controls system or other DDC Systems.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship, both currently and moving forward.

Responsibilities

  • Experience providing high quality programming per specifications, standards, budgets, and schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely with customers, contractors, engineers, and fellow team members.
  • Working as part of a team that is responsible for the programming, start-up, troubleshooting and commissioning of DDC building automation systems.
  • Configuring, programming, and customizing control systems to meet project-specific needs.
  • Creation of software programs and front-end graphics.
  • Commissioning on projects.
  • Analyzing problems and resolving issues to ensure the complete system functions properly.
  • Performing system diagnostics and recommend enhancements to improve system performance and efficiency.
  • Coordinating customer training and complete closeout documents.
  • Providing technical support and direction to end-users and employees when applicable.
