  • Strong Understanding of the core Cybersecurity Principles, Regulations and Standards.
  • 5 years or more of experience in industrial controls, automation, embedded software, or related fields.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in at least two of the domains of the Secure Development Lifecycle.
  • Ability to develop and troubleshoot PLC applications using Function Block Diagrams (FBD), Structured Text (ST), and Ladder Logic(LD), depending on system requirements.
  • Experience with BMS/SCADA development and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, SNMP, Redfish (nice to have)).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage source code using modern version control systems (Git/GitHub), following best practices for collaboration and code integrity.
  • Strong understanding of control theory, instrumentation, PID tuning, and system integration.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, I/O diagrams, and system architecture drawings.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills for automation hardware and software.
  • Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and adapt to evolving requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • A relevant CyberSecurity Certification (eg CSSLP, CISSP, CEH, Data Privacy Practitioner).
  • Proficient with PLC programming environments such as C.suite/1Tool (Carel), Modicon, and Schneider EcoStruxure.
  • Experienced in embedded firmware development using C/C++, Python or similar languages.
  • Experience integrating variable‑frequency drives (VFDs), optimizing pump‑control systems, and implementing thermal‑management automation.
  • Skilled in commissioning fieldbus‑connected devices.
  • Familiarity with data logging, analytics, and cloud‑connected control architectures.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices for securing industrial control systems and operational technology environments.
  • Exposure to digital twins, simulation modeling, or virtual commissioning tools.
  • Understanding of DFMA, Lean principles, and standardized software architecture practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain robust Cybersecurity measures.
  • Measure security efficacy against design baselines and remediate all identified vulnerabilities to maintain a strong security posture.
  • Drive and Implement Software Development Lifecycle (SDL) practice in projects and products.
  • Review, validate, and schedule security patches for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and other hardware ensuring updates do not trigger operational downtime.
  • Develop PLC logic, HMI interfaces, and automation sequences for liquid‑cooling control systems.
  • Create control panel layouts, I/O lists, communication architectures, and system documentation.
  • Program, test, and validate PLC, HMI, and embedded control hardware in accordance with internal standards.
  • Integrate sensors, instrumentation, VFDs, pumps, and communication buses into functional control systems.
  • Interpret customer specifications, SOWs, and industry standards to develop customized ETO controls solutions.
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and field service teams to ensure end‑to‑end system functionality.
  • Troubleshoot controls issues during build, FAT, commissioning, and field deployment.
  • Develop and maintain documentation including functional specifications, wiring diagrams, logic flow, and test plans.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts, software standardization, and development of reusable controls modules.
