We have an exciting opportunity available for a Project Engineer with primary responsibility for PW1500G / PW1900G aftermarket tool planning and grind tool support.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree and 3+ years of Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, or broad Aerospace or Aftermarket industry experience; OR Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant industry experience; OR Associate’s degree and 7+ years of relevant industry experience; OR High School diploma or Military / Technical Training and 9+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience with tool or component design in CAD software such as NX, and Teamcenter

Nice To Haves

  • Degree STEM field ideally in Mechanical, Aerospace or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Mechanical engineering knowledge and experience ideally within Aerospace or Aviation industry
  • Knowledge of engine hardware in addition to knowledge of systems, design and integration of component performance with the core power plant
  • Direct knowledge and experience dealing with commercial airline customers
  • Component repair experience utilizing complex machining, particularly in an FAA Repair Station MRO environment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical data, GD&T, blueprints and engine manuals
  • Experience and knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining operations, including tooling application and measurement / inspection methods.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite programs, SAP ERP, Solumina MES, Teamcenter and Siemens NX or equivalent CAD/CAM programs
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma, QCPC and RCCA)
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of management, shop personnel and customers

Responsibilities

  • Interface with the Process Control and Improvement team, the tool designers in Development Operations and Aftermarket Services to ensure tools meet requirements for Aftermarket applications.
  • Collaborate with the Development Operations engineering organization to perform simple tool design activities.
  • Provide troubleshooting services for technical issues with tools during manufacture and while in the field.
  • Provide overall technical customer support for both internal and external Customers, Customer Service Representatives and MRO shops.
  • Answer Eagle Net customer cases while fostering strong relationships built on trust and integrity.
  • Review and approve the release of technical data and communications, Supplier Request for Information (SRIs) & Tool Bulletins
  • Utilize process improvement skills in the execution to day-to-day operations.
