The Senior Engineer, Geoenvironmental Services acts as a geotechnical engineering subject expert and leads a team of engineers and technical specialists, overseeing the geotechnical review of erosion hazard risks in accordance with Toronto and Region Conservation Authority’s (TRCA) regulatory responsibilities. This position conducts challenging risk assessments for slope stability hazards in conformance with geotechnical engineering principles, standards, policies and guidelines required for reviewing applications. The Geoenvironmental Services team includes hydrogeologists and geotechnical engineers of varying experience levels that work together to protect the public from natural hazards including but not limited to slope failures, acting to protect drinking water supplies from overuse and contamination, and monitoring groundwater conditions. The team consists of a Senior Manager, 2 senior hydrogeologists, 1 hydrogeologist, 2 geotechnical engineers, and 1 senior geotechnical engineer (this posted position).
