Senior Engineer, Embedded Software

Clarios•Milwaukee, WI

About The Position

Clarios is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain production-grade software for automotive IoT telemetry gateways and intelligent battery-sensing products. The role spans bare-metal and RTOS-based ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers, embedded Linux on ARM Cortex-A processors, and machine-learning workloads running on dedicated NPUs. It covers the embedded software lifecycle, from hardware bring-up and low-level drivers through custom Linux distributions, connected applications, real-time firmware, and edge-ML integration. Target platforms include heterogeneous multicore SoCs such as the NXP i.MX 9 family. The engineer will work across firmware, Linux, multicore communication, edge ML, telemetry, battery sensing, and automotive connectivity. The role includes supporting prototypes, system integration, vehicle testing, production launch, and field-issue resolution, in collaboration with systems, hardware, cloud, data science, cybersecurity, validation, manufacturing, and product teams. Travel may be required up to 10%.
