About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with 5 to 8 years of professional experience in embedded systems and software validation. In this role, you will take ownership of our automated test strategy, designing and scaling advanced test frameworks that bridge hardware and software. You will act as a technical leader, mentoring junior engineers and collaborating closely with firmware developers, electrical engineers, and product managers to ensure the reliability of our products.

Requirements

4+ years of experience as an SDET or Test Automation Engineer specifically within embedded systems or application testing
Proficiency C# .NET and familiarity with Python.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM discipline.

Nice To Haves

Experience testing and employing CV technologies is desirable
Experience with automated test equipment (ATE) design or custom hardware test fixture development.
Knowledge of safety-critical development standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 62304, DO-178C).
Experience with containerization tools like Docker for standardized test environments.
Leverage AI/ML tools to accelerate test development, including automated test generation.

Responsibilities

Designing, architecture, and scaling automated test frameworks from scratch for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) environments and system integration.
Writing robust, production-grade automation scripts and testing suites using Python, or modern C#.
Isolating, diagnosing, and root-cause complex low-level hardware defects, race conditions, and timing anomalies using lab equipment.
Building, maintaining, and optimizing continuous integration pipelines (e.g. Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, GitLab CI) to orchestrate daily regression testing on hardware.
Participating in software code reviews and architectural discussions to advocate for testability, test hooks, and design-for-test (DFT) principles.
Providing technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to junior engineers on the team.
