About The Position

Invesco is seeking a Senior Engineer, Digital Dist & Ent Eng to join a collaborative, high-performing engineering team within Invesco Technology. This team is focused on transforming client communications by implementing a modern Vermillion Reporting Services platform. The role involves partnering with business stakeholders to deliver scalable, cloud-based solutions that enhance client engagement and drive the transition away from legacy systems. The primary responsibility will be to lead the implementation of a new client communications solution on the Vermillion platform, replacing the existing system and enabling the business to quickly create rich communications. Requirements

• Expertise in: Java, Webservices, Spring, Mulesoft, AWS
• Experience / understanding development process in the DevOps environment (including exposure to CI/CD tools such a Jenkins, source code management tools - e.g. GIT)
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of software engineering concepts and practices
• Experience in developing and consuming REST or GraphQL APIs
• Debugging skills with the ability to ask for help
• Consume libraries, tools, and APIs from other teams to achieve the desired functionality
• Technical team leadership experience.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in IT related program is preferred and a minimum of 5 years of related experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Scaled Agile framework is preferred

Responsibilities

• Work closely with clients to understand business requirements and gain a thorough understanding of business processes.
• Develop project estimates and manage project work plans.
• Answer team member questions, assist team members with issues, and oversee team member work for quality.
• Lead a team of engineers including development, mentoring, and product delivery management.
• Learn and adhere to department standards for design, development, and quality control.
• Complete major deliverables including technical design documentation and implementation of business requirements.
• Prepare for and support user acceptance testing.
• Work as part of a project team, reporting progress and escalating issues to project management in a timely manner to ensure successful completion of projects / reviews.
• Complete all tasks related to technical analysis, building and unit testing, quality assurance, system test and implementation in accordance with the IT development life cycle.
• Provide post implementation support.
• Create and maintain documentation for systems and processes.
• Assist with developing improvements to team processes and procedures.
• Stay abreast of new developments and functionality of Vermillion and client communication trends.
