This role involves developing product evaluation and validation test solutions for high-performance analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits (IC). The engineer will design, develop, and debug cost-effective evaluation test hardware/software solutions for characterization and qualification in a lab environment. Collaboration with design engineers on evaluation test methodologies, plans, and modes is key. The position also includes designing evaluation test schematics, working with layout engineers for PCBs, and improving test programs to correlate lab results with simulations and production tests. Support for application teams, customer returns, and failure analysis is expected. Participation in New Product Development teams and evaluation of new test systems is also part of the role. The ability to replicate customer setups for deeper analysis of returns and to compile, analyze, and organize test data for designers is crucial. Managing project schedules to align with product introduction and release dates is also a responsibility.
