Senior Engineer, Data Engineering & Analytics

KeHE Distributors, LLC•Naperville, IL

About The Position

The Senior DEA Engineer is a highly capable individual contributor who works autonomously, owns complex technical problems end-to-end, and improves the quality and effectiveness of the team without formal people-management responsibilities. The role emphasizes system-level thinking, technical ownership, leadership through influence, solving ambiguous problems, mentoring others, and shaping solution design. It requires strong proficiency in the team's primary technology stack, understanding of system design, APIs, integrations, and distributed systems, and strong testing, debugging, and performance-optimization skills. It is the top role on the individual-contributor core track before potential progression into people leadership or deep technical leadership. The engineer designs and implements complex software features and systems, owns technical solutions from design through operational support, leads technical design discussions, and collaborates with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver customer value. The role uses logs, metrics, and analytics to guide decisions and improve performance and reliability, mentors other engineers, and continuously improves engineering practices, tools, and workflows. KeHE expects all actions to be consistent with its Mission, Vision, and Values.
