About The Position

The Senior Engineer, Control Systems, works on the design and development of control systems embedded in the Ivenix infusion pump. Under moderate supervision, this experienced engineering position participates in designing, coding, documenting, testing, and maintaining real-time embedded software and accessory software products. The engineer applies standard engineering practices to resolve moderately complex problems. The role includes developing flow measurement and control algorithms, motion-control logic, Simulink models, and software and hardware test protocols. It also involves software verification, configuration management, static code analysis, data analysis tools, integration and testing, and supporting failure analysis and verification and validation activities. The position manages assigned deliverables and tracks progress against the overall program schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Physical Science.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with complex, software-driven electro-mechanical systems; medical device software-development experience is a plus.
  • 1–2 years of experience working with MATLAB and Simulink.
  • 1–2 years of experience addressing complex problems in multiple physical domains.
  • Working knowledge of hierarchical state machine control and non-linear control system design schemes.
  • Experience with unit testing of embedded software.
  • Proficiency with C, C++, and Python.
  • Ability to work as part of an iterative team and collaborate with peers, stakeholders, and test engineers.
  • Ability to employ high-level analytical and problem-solving techniques.
