About The Position

Toole Design Group in Minneapolis, MN is looking to hire an experienced and talented full-time Senior Engineer. Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil engineering
Professional Engineering license (PE/PTOE) in Minnesota (or ability to obtain)
10+ years of experience
3+ years of experience in project or design management
A broad knowledge base in civil engineering
Understanding of basic geometric design principles of transportation facilities and industry transportation facility design standards
Proficiency in one or more of the following: MicroStation (including OpenRoads), AutoCAD (including Civil 3D)
Experience coordinating utility, right-of-way, street lighting, traffic signals, and landscape and hardscape layout
Experience developing construction documents and cost estimates

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor an interdisciplinary team to deliver multimodal transportation infrastructure in a wide range of contexts from roadway reconstructions and streetscapes in highly urban settings to signature trail projects in suburban and rural areas that highlight and enhance the natural environment.
Use programs such as AutoCAD and/or MicroStation in order to fulfill production work on your projects.
Manage projects; guide your team and clients through concept development, design review, bid package development, permitting, and construction management.
Help develop construction documents; and work with your team to ensure that our projects are consistently of the highest quality.
Help lead the team in creation of signing and pavement marking plans, maintenance of traffic, and traffic signal plans for roadway projects and streetscapes in urban settings.
Use programs such as Synchro, Highway Capacity Software, MicroStation, and AutoCAD to fulfill production work on your projects.
Use state of the art tools and practices to help create sustainable multimodal transportation networks.
Work on a wide spectrum of projects that inform your design work, including road diet analyses, multimodal traffic studies for new development, roundabout studies, trail/roadway intersection studies and designs, and parking studies and design guidance.
