About The Position

This role involves analyzing complex system requirements, participating in the full software development lifecycle (development, code reviews, testing, deployment, and delivery) of large-scale applications, systems, and services. The engineer will actively contribute to architecture, design, and code reviews, making recommendations for new or existing code. They will lead or participate in projects, coordinate efforts, and monitor performance. The position requires staying current with new technologies and methodologies, participating in software system testing and validation, programming, and documentation. Additionally, the role involves providing technical advice, solving programming problems, writing/reviewing system specifications, and ensuring proper analysis to prevent rework and schedule slippage.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
Five (5) years in any occupation with development, engineering, or related experience.
Five (5) years in any occupation with development, engineering, or related experience must include: Financial Services experience; Application Development using Angular JS/Angular 12.0+; NodeJS; Experience in Micro-Frontend Implementation; Experience implementing Web Components; Service API Development; Agile and Waterfall Methodologies; Design Patterns and Programming Principles; Automated Unit Testing; RDBMS Database such as Oracle and SQL; Profiling and Performance Tuning; Enterprise Scale Application Implementation; Strategic Technical Planning; Continuous Integration; and Change Management and Process.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, and three (3) years in any occupation with development, engineering, or related experience.
Must have skills listed above.

Responsibilities

Analyzes complex system requirements, including identifying program interactions and appropriate interfaces between impacted components and sub systems.
Participates in the development, code reviews, testing, deployment, and delivery of large-scale software applications, systems, and services.
Actively participates in architecture, design, and code reviews.
Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or to reuse of existing code.
Leads or participates in assigned projects, including assigning tasks, coordinating efforts, and monitoring performance.
May recommend new technologies and methodologies to management for meeting business needs, resolving problems and exploiting opportunities.
Remains current with new technologies.
Participates in software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
Provides technical advice and assists in solving programming problems.
Writes and/or reviews system specifications, including output requirements and flow charts.
Reviews test results; documents test activities, and records remedial actions.
Ensures proper analysis of problems and programming approaches to prevent rework and schedule slippage.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
