Phillips 66 is seeking a Senior Engineer Advanced Process Control to provide subject matter expertise and partner with refinery sites to identify, prioritize, and execute APC (Advance Process Controls) and multi-unit optimization projects. This role involves conducting feasibility studies to strengthen the APC Network, utilizing APC applications for optimal refinery performance, and creating sophisticated models of refinery processes. The engineer will analyze process data and control system performance to identify optimization opportunities using both conventional and modern AI-based APC and RTO technologies. The position requires applying chemical process engineering knowledge to test and validate control strategies, build AI-based process control models, and develop best practice standards for APC applications. Additionally, the role involves providing technical support, guidance, and training to refinery personnel, participating in peer reviews, leading software updates, assisting in the discovery of new technologies, and preparing progress reports. The position requires travel to various unanticipated locations.
