About The Position

As a Senior Engine Programmer (Mobile – Unreal), you are responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Unreal Engine engine‑level systems specifically for mobile platforms. You focus on performance, memory, power, and platform constraints unique to mobile devices, ensuring Unreal Engine supports high‑quality gameplay and stable runtime behaviour on iOS and Android.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in C++, with experience developing engine‑level systems in Unreal Engine.
  • At least 6–8 years of professional experience in game programming, including mobile Unreal Engine development.
  • Professional experience shipping Unreal Engine titles on iOS and/or Android.
  • Strong understanding of mobile platform constraints within Unreal Engine, including performance, memory, and OS lifecycle.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and debugging skills for Unreal Engine mobile issues.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Perforce or Git.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience modifying or extending Unreal Engine for mobile platforms.
  • Familiarity with mobile profiling tools and Unreal Engine mobile optimization workflows.
  • Experience supporting live mobile products built with Unreal Engine.
  • Strong understanding of mobile GPU and rendering constraints in Unreal Engine.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain Unreal Engine engine‑level systems targeting mobile platforms.
  • Optimize Unreal Engine subsystems for mobile performance, memory usage, and power constraints.
  • Work on platform‑specific Unreal Engine integrations for iOS and Android.
  • Collaborate with rendering and gameplay engineers to ensure Unreal Engine features are mobile‑friendly.
  • Maintain and improve Unreal Engine code to support a wide range of mobile hardware configurations.
  • Profile and debug complex Unreal Engine performance issues on real mobile devices.
  • Support mobile‑specific engine features such as asset streaming, memory budgeting, and platform abstraction.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented Unreal Engine C++ code following team standards.
  • Participate in engine optimization, stability, and scalability efforts for mobile titles.
  • Contribute to technical discussions around Unreal Engine mobile strategy and long‑term support.
  • Mentor junior programmers through technical guidance and collaboration.
  • Stay current with Unreal Engine mobile updates and mobile platform changes.
