About The Position

The Senior Endpoint Engineer will be responsible for supporting Intune administration and engineering, including compliance policies for conditional access, application deployment and patching, and management and troubleshooting. This role involves using Windows Update for Business to maintain workstation patch levels, creating and deploying Intune configurations, policies, and settings, and managing Windows 11 workstation baseline configurations. The engineer will also support and troubleshoot Windows Autopilot, identify and resolve system problems, package software and updates, develop security baselines, and create reports on device compliance, application deployment, patch management, and software inventory. Additionally, the role requires writing PowerShell scripts for automation, responding to escalated service desk requests, providing guidance to less-experienced engineers, communicating effectively, serving as a liaison with clients, and participating in special projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree + 10 years relevant experience, OR Associate degree + 12 years relevant experience, OR 16 years of relevant experience
  • Experience managing cloud-based endpoint environments
  • Experience supporting Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments
  • Experience with Nerdio or similar AVD management platforms
  • Familiarity with PSAppDeployToolkit (PSADT)
  • Experience implementing Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC)
  • Experience with endpoint vulnerability management

Responsibilities

  • Support Intune administration and engineering, to include compliance policies for conditional access, application deployment and patching, management and troubleshooting
  • Use Windows Update for Business to keep Windows workstations patched to correct levels
  • Create and deploy Intune configurations, policies, and settings
  • Manage and maintain Windows 11 workstation baseline configurations
  • Support and troubleshooting for Windows Autopilot
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve system problems with both short-term workarounds and long-term solutions
  • Package software and updates for deployment in the test and production environments.
  • Develop security baselines based on the recommendations from the Engineering and Security teams.
  • Create reports on device compliance, application deployment, patch management, and software inventory
  • Write PowerShell scripts to automate systems administration tasks
  • Respond to escalated service desk/team requests
  • Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced systems engineers
  • Communicate effectively (in oral and written form) with a variety of individuals; work well within small and large team environments
  • Serve as liaison with clients, participating in meetings to ensure client needs are met
  • Participates in special projects as required
