Overview Our Center of Execellence office in Hunt Valley, MD is seeking a Strategic Employee Benefits professional to join our team as a Senior Employee Benefits Data Consultant! As a Consultant, you will analyze, strategize and support cost mitigation and utilization within our clients benefits plans. Primarily working with middle market to large group clients, this client facing function will add incredible value to our partnership with our customers. If you have an eye for analytics and value based plan design with a financial acumen, this could be the role for you! The Sr. Employee Benefits Data Consultant is responsible for designing risk management strategies and producing measurable outcomes for clients and prospects using data and technology. This position is a remote position. Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 3 years of prior relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Use of sound judgment of all client interactions.
  • Exhibits strong ability to anticipate needs and proactively seek to identify new opportunities.
  • Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines.
  • High degree of business technology awareness and its applications to workplace efficiencies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree or professional certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze and interpret benefits plan data to identify population risk, financial, and utilization trends.
  • Develop risk strategies through value-based plan design, contribution, and benefits initiatives.
  • Prepare financial forecasts through predictive modeling tools.
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize efficiency and quality.
  • Enhance the plan communications platform by leveraging technology.
  • Support sales and prospecting efforts in the Large Group Practice. Present plan performance reports to clients on a scheduled basis.
  • Evaluate current product results; identify needs to be filled; monitor competitive options, and analyze and relay customer experience.
  • Travel for client/prospect meetings and incorporate time in the office for planning, preparation, and training.
  • Provide team and client with appropriate timelines to meet expectations and turnaround times.
  • Manage a team of Junior Analysts to ensure that: they contribute to the team goals by accomplishing related projects, provide technical guidance and training to other team members as assigned, and complete and submit all required reports based on assigned deadlines.
