Overview The Employee Benefits Data Analyst specializes in working with large and complex data sets to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of business strategies. Identifies and compiles data sets using a variety of tools to help predict, improve, and measure the success of key business-to-business outcomes. Responsible for performing general analytics and statistical modeling on existing data sets in various areas of the business. Defines data requirements, data collection, processing, cleaning, analysis, modeling, and visualization. Examines and identifies data patterns and trends to help answer business questions and improve decision making to increase efficiency and automation. Requirements

  • University Degree and 0 -1 years prior relevant experience, or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge with SQL prferred
  • Knowledge of data analysis, statistical analysis, basic programming, data preparation/cleaning, and data visualization and presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes benefits plan data to identify population risk, clinical and financial trends, and utilization trends.
  • Works with sales and service team to develop actionable items to mitigate client claims costs.
  • Creates/updates employer dashboard reports with summary clinical and financial data.
  • Provides ad hoc queries to support sales and support teams.
  • Works with carriers and other administrators to obtain data required for analysis.
  • Presents plan performance reports to clients on an as needed basis.
  • Cultivates and manages relationships with third party administrators and insurance carriers regarding data.
  • Other duties as assigned.
