About The Position

North Risk Partners is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Senior Employee Benefits Account Manager to serve as the primary point of contact for large group clients. This role supports the sales team in evaluating and managing employee benefits accounts, providing quality service, and contributing to process improvements and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and a passion for exceptional service, with opportunities for growth within the company.

Requirements

  • A combination of education and experience generally attained through a high school degree, bachelor’s degree, and a great deal of insurance experience in employee benefits service.
  • Strong experience working with large groups.
  • Active life & health insurance license.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills, demonstrating ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative to identify problems and lead by example.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of AMS360 and ImageRight are a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients by advising and responding to correspondence promptly and accurately.
  • Answer client questions regarding all lines of coverage and assist with plan/carrier changes, claims, and billing.
  • Collaborate with Risk Advisors to determine and meet client goals.
  • Analyze markets for competitive pricing and develop insurance solutions for current clients.
  • Analyze and offer guidance on alternatives and strategies.
  • Analyze quotes from carriers for accuracy.
  • Review policy contracts to ensure information and coverages are accurate.
  • Evaluate and prepare renewal comparisons and policy proposals.
  • Present, communicate, and educate clients on policy changes.
  • Resolve client inquiries and service problems to ensure satisfaction.
  • Coordinate external (e.g., carriers) and internal (e.g., agency software systems) implementations of new groups.
  • Market new or renewal business.
  • Review and analyze client claims data for future plan design and pricing for both fully insured and self-funded plans.
  • Schedule and participate in client meetings.
  • Stay current on trends and advancements in the employee benefits field, as well as regulatory changes.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with partner insurance carriers.
  • Promote value-added services offered by North Risk Partners.
  • Refer business across all departments (property and casualty, personal lines).
  • Accurately enter activity and relevant information into the company's software system(s).
  • Follow all federal and state regulations and best practices to avoid errors and omissions.
  • Continue professional development, obtaining and maintaining licensing and designations.
