About The Position

Nova IVF is seeking an experienced Senior Embryologist for its Mountain View, California clinic, which offers fertility treatments ranging from basic care to advanced fertility technologies. The role performs IVF laboratory procedures to support consistent pregnancy rates and exceptional patient care. The Senior Embryologist works as part of a dedicated team under a Laboratory Director. This is a full-time position that includes some weekends and holidays.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in biological science.
At least 4 years of previous embryology experience in an IVF laboratory.
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Computer skills.

Responsibilities

Perform IVF laboratory procedures to support consistent pregnancy rates and patient care.
Maintain daily laboratory quality control.
Perform oocyte retrievals; identify, assess, and culture oocytes.
Culture and assess embryos.
Perform embryo transfers.
Perform embryo and oocyte vitrification, storage, and warming.
Perform micromanipulation techniques, including ICSI and biopsy.
Prepare dishes and media.
Perform andrology procedures.
Document patient care services in an EMR.
Protect patients and employees by following infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance, following manufacturer instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, arranging repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needs, and placing and expediting orders.
Perform other related duties as needed.
