About The Position

Raytheon Space and Air division in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer [Embedded / Radar] to be part of their product development teams for the Gen4 Tactical Airborne Radar group. This role involves working on complex technical problems and providing highly innovative solutions. The engineer will effectively contribute at all phases of the SW development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration, and develop real-time embedded software, specifically pertaining to various radar modes and capabilities. The position also requires utilizing investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues and develop solutions, working effectively with teams across multiple disciplines, internal and external, and contributing to program and customer meetings/reviews. Support for program leads regarding technical decision making and problem resolution, as well as support of system and software requirements and architecture generation and analysis, will be necessary. The ability to obtain "special access programs" (SAP/SAR) is also a requirement.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience in embedded software development
  • Experience coding in C/C++/ADA or related languages.
  • Experience working on UNIX, Linux, Windows, VxWorks or other RTOS
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • DoD Clearance: Secret
  • Active and existing security clearance required on day 1

  • Experience developing Radar Software applications
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
