About The Position

This role involves designing, developing, implementing, and testing low-level embedded software. The engineer will work with RTOS, Memory, Fault Detection, Power Management, LIN, DMA, PWM Input/Output, Discrete Input/Output, and Analog Input/Output. Responsibilities include utilizing MCAL configuration tools, generating software, hand-coding, designing and executing tests for compliance, and providing independent reviews of software. The position follows a Hybrid Work Policy, requiring 3 days in-office and 2 days remote, with the ability to report to a local office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study and Five (5) years of experience as an Embedded Software Engineer, Validation Engineer, or related occupation.
  • Alternatively, a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study and Three (3) years of experience as an Embedded Software Engineer, Validation Engineer, or related occupation.
  • Three (3) years of experience with: Designing, developing, and testing Microcontroller and ECU Abstraction Layer and Complex Drivers for AUTOSAR.
  • Three (3) years of experience with: Reading schematics and understanding of basic electrical circuits.
  • Three (3) years of experience with: Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) for multi-core microcontroller.
  • Three (3) years of experience with: ARM, PowerPC, and Renesas microcontrollers.
  • Three (3) years of experience with: Performing root cause analysis with Integrated Basic Software and Application Software on multi-core microcontrollers.
  • Three (3) years of experience with: Embedded compiler, linker, debugging tools, and software including Lauterbach, ETAS INCA, CANalyzer, oscilloscopes, and other general lab equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, and test low level embedded software including, but not limited to: RTOS, Memory, Fault Detection, Power Management, LIN, DMA, PWM Input/Output, Discrete Input/Output, Analog Input/Output.
  • Utilize MCAL configuration tool to generate software and hand-code.
  • Design and execute tests to ensure compliance with the component technical requirements.
  • Provide independent review of software written by others.
