Senior Embedded Software Engineer
About The Position
We are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our team. This role involves full lifecycle software development, including designing, developing, and troubleshooting embedded software on target hardware. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline.
- 5+ years of C/C++ software development experience.
- Prior experience writing embedded software (C, C++, and/or Ada).
- Experience with real-time operating system integration (e.g. Green Hills, Wind River, Lynx).
- Prior experience troubleshooting/debugging on target hardware in lab/mock-up environments.
- Proficient with Linux and Windows development environments.
- Familiarity with Agile / Dev/SecOps tools and CI/CD workflow (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.).
- Ability to professionally communicate project status and collaborate on technical solutions with clients and peers.
- Experience with incorporating independently developed algorithms into embedded software.
- Full lifecycle software development experience.
- Active Secret DoD security clearance.
Nice To Haves
- Proficient with Atlassian Tools (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket, etc.).
- Proficient in Python development.
- Linux kernel and system modules (Peta Linux on Ultra Scale +).
- Familiarity with network architecture and data management.
- Familiarity with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools (Cameo, AADL).
- Experience with Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA), ARINC 653 and flight software development.
- Experience with safety-critical software development and practices (DO-178C).
- Experience communicating and documenting complex technical designs.
- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Responsibilities
