About The Position

We are looking for a talented and motivated Senior Embedded Software Engineer to be a key contributor in firmware development and implementation on our Pro AV products. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
Over 5 years of hand-on experience with embedded system design as well as firmware and software development.
Proficiency in C.
Experience with developing firmware for Arm Cortex M/ STM32 Micro-controllers.
Experience with peripheral communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, PWM).
Applied scripting techniques (shell scripting, Perl, Python) to improve efficiency.
Knowledge of hardware schematic.

Nice To Haves

Experience with FPGA, Verilog is preferable.

Responsibilities

Work with a team of hands-on engineers and participate in embedded firmware development, design, review, and testing for new video system design (hardware, software, firmware), development, troubleshooting, verification, and documentation.
Modify firmware for improved product performance and the addition of new features.
Document firmware designs and code with specifications and source comments and create end user documentation.
Contribute to the design of analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits for video, control, and power systems.
Participate in internal review of software components and systems.
Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports.
Execute design verification and validation testing, including board bring-up, stress testing, and environmental qualification.
Collaborate with Production, Marketing, and Sales for product requirements, releases, supports, and testing.
Assist and participate in firmware development, design and review for new products and prototypes.
Modify firmware for improved product performance and the addition of new features.
Document firmware designs and code with specifications and source comments, and create end user documentation.
Collaborate with project managers and other professionals within Engineering.
Work on problems with defined scope, schedule, and expectations.
Participate in internal review of software components and systems.
