We are looking for a full-time, permanent Senior Email Marketing Manager based in Germany to start as soon as possible. We live remote-first, but you have the freedom to choose whether you want to work hybrid or completely on-site due to your proximity to one of our locations. A subject line that stops a developer mid-scroll, an onboarding sequence that actually teaches something, a campaign that earns a click because it's worth clicking. That's the standard this role is built around. Email is often the first touch point for a customer with the brand. Our audience is technical, fast-reading and allergic to vague claims. Getting through to them takes craft, editorial instinct and a deep understanding of what they actually care about. That's the creative challenge of this role. Data is your tool and not your deliverable. You use it to sharpen creative decisions and to know which angle landed, which subject line fell flat and why. These insights feed your next idea. Content planning is equally part of the job! You are the owner of the editorial calendar. You make deliberate calls about when to push commercially and when to deliver value without an agenda. Too much promotion erodes the list and too little leaves revenue on the table. You make those calls with data and judgment, not by committee. Execution is where a lot of your time goes. You build and manage automated workflows: welcome sequences, lifecycle triggers, upsell flows, re-engagement campaigns. You develop segmentation logic and dynamic list management across the full customer lifecycle. You collaborate with designers on HTML/CSS templates that render correctly across every client. Also, you design A/B and multivariate tests with real hypotheses on subject lines, CTAs, send times, content formats and so on to see, what actually works. On top of that, you're building the infrastructure this channel runs on. Platform decisions, segmentation architecture, automation workflows, deliverability setup - you scope, prioritize and execute them. There's no playbook yet – you will write it. What you won't find here is a three-step approval process for a newsletter. What you’ll definitely find is full ownership of a channel and the freedom to make real decisions.
