About The Position

Taiga Motors, a rapidly growing off-road electric vehicle technology and manufacturing company, is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to coordinate our electrical/electronic engineering team and own the qualification, certification, and release of electronic, harnessing, and electrical devices across our vehicle programs. In this role, you will gate design releases, drive certification and regulatory work through to sign-off, and keep the team’s priorities aligned across new development, production support, and supply continuity. You will also carry component-compliance strategy — tracking obsolescence risk and maintaining the approved-vendor list — and act as the coordination point between engineering, procurement, and program management. This is a working lead role: roughly half your time is hands-on technical work, half is running the team.

Requirements

• 8+ years in electrical/electronic engineering, with experience leading projects or people in a hardware product environment.
• Direct experience with product qualification, certification, and regulatory compliance for electronic or electrical products.
• Able to read schematics and BOMs, understand PCBA and harness design trade-offs, and engage credibly across electronics and mechanical disciplines.
• Proven ability to run priorities and schedules for a small technical team in a resource-constrained environment.
• Strong bias toward action and closure.
• Proficiency with Jira, PLM, and ERP tools (Teamcenter, NetSuite, or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the E/E engineering team (electronics design, mechatronics, and technician functions); set priorities and manage cadence
• Own the qualification and certification lifecycle for electronic, harnessing, and electrical devices, including regulatory support
• Gate design releases and drive go-to-production readiness through to closure of open items
• Manage certification documentation packages and coordinate with external regulatory and certification bodies
• Own component-compliance strategy: obsolescence/EOL monitoring, approved-vendor list, and compliance data (RoHS/REACH)
• Serve as the escalation point for issues arising in procurement, production or field
• Partner with procurement and program management to keep parts availability and program milestones aligned
• Manage, coach, and develop direct reports across design, test and technician roles
