About The Position

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced electronics engineer to join their test design and development team. The role involves evaluating Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) for testability, designing test software and fixtures, and performing test programming for various sub-assembly test platforms. The engineer will also be responsible for troubleshooting CCAs to the component level, conducting root cause analysis, and identifying process improvements. Additionally, the position includes test development for unit testing at module and higher-level assemblies, fixture design, and verification. Test software development will utilize machine-level languages, LabView, LabWindows, and MatLab. A secret level clearance is required, which necessitates US Citizenship.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in electronics engineering, electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology or equivalent with 3+ years of experience.
  • High proficiency with interpreting electrical schematics, wire tabs, test specifications, assembly drawings and interconnect diagrams and use of schematic design tools.
  • Experience with test programming for Flying Probe (Takaya / SPEA), ICT, Boundary Scan.
  • Experienced user of test and measurement equipment including: Oscilloscopes (digital storage and analog), Digital Multimeter (DMM), Spectrum Analyzer, Logic Analyzer, Signal Generator, Bench Power Supply, Electronic Loads.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork and organization skills.
  • Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance after start of employment.
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration of a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters Degree
  • Experience with LabWindows CVI, Visual Studio, C/C++ or C# Development.
  • Experience with test development in PowerStar for power supply systems.
  • Experience with proposal writing, basis of estimates for government contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate designs of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) for testability.
  • Design test software and fixtures.
  • Perform test programming for sub-assembly test platforms including Flying Probe, ICT, Boundary Scan, and Power Supply.
  • Troubleshoot CCAs to the component level including full root cause analysis.
  • Identify process improvements where defect trends are found.
  • Develop tests for unit test at the module and higher-level assembly.
  • Design and verify fixtures for unit testing.
  • Develop test software using machine level languages, LabView, LabWindows, MatLab, among others.
