Electricians are responsible to maintain the facility electrical system in good working condition with little to no supervision. This role involves planning work, prioritizing tasks, ordering materials, and leading small groups. The electrician will troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including high voltages, and work with PLCs, VFDs, and motor starters. Reading and understanding wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints is essential. The role also includes assisting in the design and build of new rooms according to code requirements, installing and repairing fixtures, sensors, and switches, and performing soldering and crimping for repairs. Recording data for preventive maintenance, writing and modifying SOPs, and adhering to safety regulations are key responsibilities. The electrician will also wire, maintain, and troubleshoot generators, UPS units, data lines, and work on high voltage switchgear and panels safely.
