About The Position

In this role, you will join the client's Electrical Systems Integration team. This team is responsible for the development, certification, continuous improvement, and maintenance of industry-leading standards for aircraft electrical power generation and distribution systems, as well as aircraft lighting system architectures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in electrical systems integration or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards (RTCA/DO-160, SAE, MIL-STD, etc.) as well as airworthiness regulations and advisory materials from TCCA, FAA, and EASA related to electrical systems.
  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking skills, with the ability to structure complex problems and facilitate clear communication across disciplines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt technical concepts and project updates to diverse audiences and clearly present progress status and risks to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in and lead technical improvements and development initiatives for electrical systems on existing and future aircraft programs (architecture optimization, integration of new technologies, etc.).
  • Prepare, review, and approve engineering documentation related to electrical system modifications for aircraft programs in production and in service.
  • Propose, develop, and test innovative approaches to optimize business aircraft in areas such as emissions reduction, cost efficiency, weight reduction, performance enhancement, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead technical investigations related to electrical and lighting systems.
  • Conduct comparative studies related to the introduction and integration of new technologies on aircraft.
  • Contribute to the electrical engineering knowledge domain by capturing lessons learned and industry best practices (products and processes), while mentoring junior team members.
  • Manage technical relationships with internal and external partners and suppliers.
  • Represent the electrical engineering discipline with internal and external stakeholders.
