Loft Orbital is seeking a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on the "big picture" of spacecraft electrical systems, including power, payloads, and harnessing, with the flexibility to handle board-level details. The engineer will be responsible for the electrical backbone of entire missions, from payload integration through power allocation to CD&H. As a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer, you will own the electrical systems scope for assigned missions, integrating payloads, designing wiring harnesses, and ensuring proper power allocation and distribution. You will interpret ICDs to guide harness design and system integration, support CD&H architecture and requirements, interpret EMI/EMC test plans, and develop system component requirements and interconnect diagrams. This role involves close collaboration with board design engineers and program teams, acting as a key electrical point of contact for a mission and coordinating with hardware, mechanical, and systems teams. The ideal candidate is comfortable owning system-level electrical scope end-to-end with the flexibility to engage in board design work as needed.
