DZYNE has an immediate need for a talented Senior Electrical Sustaining/Integration Engineer who will be a hands-on contributor across the full lifecycle of DZYNE’s aircraft and launcher electrical systems. In this role, the engineer will investigate hardware issues, develop test fixtures and solutions, perform system integration and avionics/electronic system validation. This position reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager, while working directly with Vehicle Technical Leads and Program Managers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant industry experience
  • Demonstrated capability in troubleshooting, validating, and analyzing electronic components/subsystems/systems
  • Understanding of Analog/Mixed-signal, Digital, or RF circuit components
  • Hands-on experience with hardware/firmware/software integration
  • Detailed working knowledge of common test equipment
  • Experience with test automation
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for current or future employment visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in designing electronics and/or circuit boards
  • Hands-on experience with system integration and aircraft systems highly desired
  • Experience working in small to medium sized teams in a fast-paced R&D environment
  • Familiar with MIL spec hardware and harnessing standards
  • No Security Clearance is required, but it is highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Lead investigation of field failures/issues on flight hardware and drive root-cause analysis to closure
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex circuits/components/PCBs and avionics subsystems. Support system level integration
  • Define test strategies. Develop automated and semi-automated test solutions involving test equipment/fixtures and software design
  • Assist with EOL component replacement and provide guidance on design improvements
  • Support design updates driven by product improvements, obsolescence, and evolving requirements
  • Work closely with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to support new product development and active deployments in a fast-paced environment.
