This role is responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of projects, leading a team of project managers and assistant project managers. Requirements

Experience managing electrical construction projects.
Project accountability and initiative for all aspects of the project and its success.
Ability to creatively solve problems.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction, and how these systems work.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or other related discipline.
PE license.
Minimum 10+ years of experience in project management, preferably in electrical construction.
Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment and methods required.
Proven experience mentoring and managing others.
Business development/heavy client interaction.
Oracle and Accubid preferred.

Responsibilities

Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate guidelines.
Supervise staff in the day-to-day administration of projects or supervise multiple Project Managers.
Train and supervise Project Managers on company philosophy and systems.
Negotiate and supervise the preparation of all change orders.
Maintain all logs required to track project progress.
Train and supervise Project Assistants in maintaining project tracking devices.
Maintain liaison with clients and A/E firms to facilitate construction activities.
Monitor construction activities with Foremen and Area Superintendents to ensure projects are on schedule and within budget.
Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
Represent the company/project in meetings with clients, subcontractors, etc.
Prepare monthly costing reports.
Manage financial aspects of contracts, including progress billing, rental equipment, and income/expenses.
Proactively develop new business opportunities and relationships with current and potential customers.
