About The Position

The Senior Electrical Field Technician candidate should have experience with the utility, industrial, or power generation industries with an ideal background as a facility or plant electrician that is able to read drawings, implement changes, and create field red-lines resulting from changes in field conditions. Supervision and guidance may be required to be provided to on-site electricians to implement work or modifications made by the engineering team. This position requires extensive travel or extended time at client sites.

Requirements

• Excellent communication, written and organizational skills
• Strong knowledge of industry best practices for electrical installations, wiring, terminations, field red-lines, etc.
• Ability to read drawings and provide direction to craft labor
• Field experience with coal, hydro, simple cycle and combined cycle power plants
• Knowledge of circuit breakers
• Knowledge of protection relays
• Knowledge of low and medium voltage power transformers
• Knowledge of switchgear and motor control centers
• Knowledge of motors
• Knowledge of potential and current transformers

Nice To Haves

• Experience with power quality / multimeter
• Experience with Megger
• Experience with Hi-Pot
• Experience with Doble relay test set
