Requirements

Experience using Mentor Graphics Design Creation (Siemens EDA) tools: DxDesigner, xDX Designer VX OR Equivalent
Experience in the design of electronic products and tooling used in applications requiring high reliability and extended life
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

Communications design and simulation experience with tools such as Matlab and Simulink
Understanding of Design to Cost (DTC+), Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Test (DFT)
Familiarity with bid, proposal and earned value methods
DO-160 or MIL-STD-810/MIL-STD-461 qualification
Lighting protection circuits and testing
FPGA development
Experience in proposal and cost estimation support of Hardware pursuits.
Experience in design support for Special Test Equipment and tooling required for IV&V and production efforts.

Responsibilities

Design, analysis, simulation, test, and integration of digital electronic modules and/or circuit card assemblies (CCAs)
Circuit card design including hardware designs with processors, FPGAs, memory, and industry interfaces, such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART.
Requirement capture management and verification for small to medium electronic packaging circuit cards.
Prepare and present project technical information to peers and internal/external customers
Identify and addresses project & factory problems (Root Cause) and recommends resolutions (Corrective Actions) to ensure the successful completion and On-Time Delivery
Conduct schematic Capture and Printer Wiring Board layout design experience
Facilitate project tasks between cross-functional integrated product teams to ensure alignment with overall project objectives and team collaboration
Design hardware to meet rigorous military requirements for environment, functionality, price, and Size Weight and Power (SWaP)
Experience as a technical lead and/or project lead of a team in the design, test, analysis, integration, qualification, and documentation of hardware of high complexity.
