About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Team. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will have the ability to determine scope, budget, and schedule for each task. You will perform design and/or assign tasks to team members, and monitor status of completion. You will plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate electrical engineering work. You will prepare engineering reports, plans and specifications for a variety of projects. You will design and produce engineering drawings using REVIT, ETAP and VISUAL lighting software. You will check and revise engineering drawings. You will prepare and review plans and technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates. You will participate in contract bidding and administration. You will lead and review the design and ongoing progress of a project. You will communicate and interact with project team members, client representatives, review agencies and others as appropriate to project. You will collaborate in solving a variety of complex engineering problems (e.g., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements). You will research codes and apply knowledge of code requirements and standards to designs. You will produce contract documents including drawings, specifications, review designs, proposals, shop drawings and contractor comments for electrical engineering practice and conformance with established safety and design criteria. You will travel to job sites for construction administration meetings, construction progress inspections, and meetings with AHJ’s. Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years of electrical design experience, specifically Healthcare.
  • P.E. license
  • Working knowledge of REVIT, ETAP, and VISUAL lighting software is required.
  • Knowledge of power transformers, generators, coordination studies, arc flash, and FGI Guidelines.
  • Strong working knowledge of National Electrical Code, NFPA standards, and building codes.
  • Strong client skills is a must; position will have direct client contact.
