About The Position
A multi-discipline engineering firm with over 70 years in business is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer for their Windsor, Connecticut office! The role involves designing electrical systems, managing a team of engineers, and ensuring adherence to QA/QC standards. This position also offers opportunities to assist with business development and mentor junior staff.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program
- 5+ years of consulting experience (designing building power, lighting, communication and security systems)
- PE License
- Extensive knowledge of the architectural/engineering industry (Federal, State, and local laws/regulations)
- Experience using Outlook and Microsoft Office (or similar software)
- Successful applicant must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with HVAC and plumbing systems
- LEED Accreditation
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Easy Power
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems (power distribution, stand-by power generation, lighting, communication, fire alarm, security systems)
- Manage team of electrical engineers in a variety of project design and development tasks: drawings calculations cost estimates specifications client communication contractor submittal reviews
- Review design documents
- Ensure department adheres to QA/QC standards
- Assist with developing QA/QC standards
- Assist with business development initiatives
- Mentor/train junior staff
