About The Position

George E. Booth Co. is seeking a full-time Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Integrated Solutions team. This family-owned and operated industrial automation sales company is looking for a candidate with experience in electrical design, industrial automation, and control systems. While not required, PLC programming experience is a plus, as there may be opportunities to assist with in-shop programming. The position can be located at their Greenwood, IN or Newtown Square, PA locations, with occasional travel to other offices and customer sites. A clean driving record is necessary for this role. Requirements

  • 7+ years of industry experience in electrical design for industrial automation, control panels, or related systems.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (UL 508A, UL 698A, NEC, etc.).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC, VFD, and other components (knowledge of other manufacturers too is a plus).
  • Ability to create accurate and detailed electrical schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Must be willing to travel (<20%) and have a clean driving record.
  • All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • PLC programming experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor is a plus.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate is a plus.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Design electrical schematics and control panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Develop wiring diagrams, BOMs, and other documentation to support panel builds and system integration.
  • Maintain design standards and best practices for electrical drawings.
  • Participate in technical design reviews, identifying risks and correcting them prior to design release.
  • Provide technical mentorship and design guidance to others on the Electrical Design team.
  • Support the sales team by creating budgetary and final proposals for electrical control panels.
  • Work closely with panel fabrication team to ensure designs meet project specifications.
  • Collaborate with the automation team to integrate control system components.
  • Assist in in-shop PLC programming when opportunities arise (not required but preferred).
