About The Position

Encorus Group has recently opened our newest office in Rochester, NY, and we’re seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead its continued development. This role goes beyond technical expertise—it’s a unique leadership opportunity to influence the growth, culture, and direction of a high-performing local team while collaborating closely with our established Buffalo office. We’re looking for an engineer with extensive experience in power infrastructure for industrial facilities, particularly in medium- and low-voltage systems. Our projects range from large-scale power generation facilities to control level distribution, offering a diverse and engaging workload. As a consulting firm, we support clients across a wide spectrum of industries and facility types—from state-of-the-art manufacturing spaces to older industrial plants—making this an ideal role for someone who thrives on variety and values client interaction. The ideal candidate is technically strong, proactive, and client-focused, with a passion for solving complex challenges, mentoring others, and contributing to a collaborative, fast-paced, and learning-driven environment.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to comply with company drug screening, including pre-employment tests.
  • A valid driver's license, along with the ability to travel locally and occasionally out of state.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a project manager, handling correspondence, estimates, schedules, material lists, design considerations, and drawings.
  • Review and redline existing drawings, maintain project documentation, and coordinate project files.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external professionals, including architects and engineers, to ensure seamless design integration.
  • Independently manage projects of moderate size and complexity while supporting senior engineers on larger, more intricate assignments.
  • Assist project managers with correspondence, estimates, schedules, material lists, design concepts, calculations, and documentation, ensuring compliance with customer, corporate, and industry standards.
  • Apply industry best practices and company standards to oversee the development of calculations, project drawings, and specifications.
