CCI Facility Support Services, LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New England District on the Power Generation Microgrid construction project at Cape Cod Space Force Station in Bourne, Massachusetts. This position provides on-site construction oversight and quality assurance support, with particular emphasis on electrical systems in commercial, institutional, or industrial buildings. The observer works with the Government project team, construction contractor, customer, and stakeholders to document progress and resolve technical issues.

Requirements

  • 15 or more years of significant field experience across a wide range of construction activities in a similar role on similarly sized projects; advanced degrees or certifications may be acceptable in lieu of field experience, subject to contract requirements.
  • Experience with construction of electrical systems in commercial, institutional, or industrial buildings.
  • Experience with overseeing microgrid construction and design.
  • Experience with high-voltage electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal construction requirements and experience coordinating regulatory requirements and milestones.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles related to building design and construction, operations, safety, quality control, scheduling, and costs.
  • Ability to review technical submittals
  • Working knowledge of General Engineering concepts, principles, and practices.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word and Resident Management System (RMS) or Construction Management Portal (CMP) to support project documentation as directed.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • The employee must be able to obtain access to Cape Cod Space Force Station and meet applicable security requirements for a government furnished computer and Contractor Common Access Card. Employment may be subject to a post-offer drug screening and acceptable background check results.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Navisworks or Revit.
  • Current Secret security clearance or ability to obtain Secret security clearance within three (3) months.
  • Experience working with US Army Corp of Engineers

Responsibilities

  • On-site observation of construction activities and verify conformance with contract drawings, specifications, approved submittals, and applicable quality and safety requirements.
  • Prepare accurate quality assurance observations and project documentation.
  • Review contractor work plans, quality control and testing plans, health and safety plans, schedules, warranties, operations and maintenance manuals, and technical electrical submittmits; provide comments on contractual compliance.
  • Attend meetings with the customer, stakeholders, contractors, and USACE personnel; communicate field conditions, project progress, and open issues.
  • Review proposed contract changes and provide technical input for Government consideration.
  • Work with the contractor to troubleshoot civil, electrical, and mechanical systems, identifying causes of problems.
  • Participate in building commissioning
