About The Position

The Electrical Engineer designs, modifies, evaluates, and supports components and processes used in LnW Gaming products and systems. This role determines design approaches and parameters, analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests, and evaluates results. The engineer selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability, and completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. The position may involve interaction with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.

Requirements

• 2-5 years’ experience in Electrical Hardware Development and Sustainment (full life cycle) with an emphasis on Embedded Systems, Computer Architecture, and Circuit Design.
• Experience with the full life cycle of electronic systems development (i.e. concept definition, software requirements, working with distributors, selecting parts, developing design requirements, product release, and manufacturing).
• Proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout using industry standard CAD Tools such as Altium or Orcad.
• Strong knowledge of various communication protocols such as USB, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, RS-232, RS-485, JTAG, and PCIe.
• Experience with diagnostics and forensic debugging of electronic circuit boards and assemblies.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or significant equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with EMC/EMI FCC/CE, safety testing and compliance desirable.
• Deep understanding of grounding schemes, wire sizing trade-offs, signal isolation, and bus interfaces (e.g., Ethernet, RS422).

Responsibilities

• Design, qualify, and test electronic components, sub-assemblies, and systems.
• Provide sustainment for existing hardware products.
• Perform design validation and test on newly designed and existing electronic products.
• Act as project manager for various development, test, and sustaining engineering tasks.
• Maintain relationships with vendors and internal LnW teams to provide electrical engineering product support.
• Perform root cause analysis of electrical assemblies and provide corrective actions.
• Support engineering quality efforts in cooperation with vendors and internal LnW teams.
• Provide engineering expertise to design, fabricate, and integrate harness systems and represent the harness discipline on a project.
• Investigate, plan, design, and develop harnesses to meet various technical requirements.
