The Opportunity Our location in Alameda, CA, currently has an opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer. Work independently in a lead role, or as part of a team to design, develop, and troubleshoot critical electrical designs. Identify, recommend, implement significant and/or complex new electrical design improvements or technologies that meet regulatory requirements. May lead multiple electrical engineering activities. Develop cross-functional working relationships and provide effective communication to Senior Management. What You’ll Work On • Research and develop high-volume consumer medical devices • Collaborate with product managers, cross-functional leaders, system designers to translate business needs and product requirements into feature definition, technical requirements and designs. • Develop embedded system requirements, specifications, architectures and translate into hardware meeting performance, cost, and manufacturability targets. • Work closely with software architecture leaders to ensure proper system implementation to support the needs for system verification, manufacturing, and the end user. • Create and review electrical design specifications and product requirements. • Support development of design FMEAs and V&V test protocols. • Ensure that electrical designs meet applicable industry and medical device standards. • Communicate effectively to and participate in cross-functional development teams. • Write and submit Engineering Change Orders in Agile PLM. • Serve as an independent reviewer on programs not directly involved. • Comply with corporate and divisional policies and support additional program needs.
