About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with expertise in facility design to join their team. This role focuses on high-profile projects for U.S. Government agencies, where the engineer will act as a Federal Subject Matter Expert (SME). Responsibilities include leading electrical design across multiple projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver sustainable solutions. The position involves approximately 20% travel for site visits and client engagement.

Requirements

U.S. Citizenship (required for federal project work)
Minimum 15 years of consulting engineering experience in facility design with extensive focus on federal government/agency projects
Proven experience delivering IFC design packages for federal facilities
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Active Professional Engineering (PE) license in the U.S. (multiple state licenses preferred)
Exceptional communication skills related to presentations, speaking, and written work

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with NIPR, SIPR, JWICS

Responsibilities

Lead electrical design teams and mentor junior staff to produce construction-ready design packages that clearly reflect design documentation and scope compliance.
Design facilities focused on the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) or the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC), with specific focus on SCIFs, ICD 705 compliance, TEMPEST shielding. Familiarity with NIPR, SIPR, JWICS is a plus.
Take a leadership role in the project lifecycle, including the development of project budgets, proposals, schedules, staffing plans, and resource allocation.
Engage in business development and client relationship building within federal, state, and local government sectors.
Ensure compliance with federal and industry standards (UFC, UFGS, NFPA, NEC, NESC, NETA, ANSI, IEEE, UL, UBC, IEC, CE, EN).
Utilize design and modeling software, especially ETAP and SpecsIntact, also Revit, Autodesk Forma, AutoCAD, Elum Tools, SKM, EDSA, Easy Power.
