About The Position

The Senior Electrical Engineer will report to the Project Manager and Project Director and will be responsible for various technical and coordination tasks related to electrical distribution, protection, controls, and auxiliary systems for dam and hydroelectric projects.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Registered member of EGBC is required
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Construction industry
  • Strong computer skills with various software experience, including MS Office, BlueBeam, ACC, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hydroelectricity and dams is considered an asset
  • Bilingualism, French and English, would be considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of drawings, specifications, reports, and other technical documents for electrical distribution, protection, controls, and other auxiliary systems for dam and hydroelectric projects
  • Ensure design compliance with guidelines, codes, regulations, and other reference documentation
  • Assist project managers in the technical planning, control, and coordination of projects
  • Work closely with technical teams to coordinate engineering work
  • Ensure quality assurance of deliverables
  • Evaluation of electrical/controls systems, products, and components
  • Report writing and equipment recommendation/selection
  • Incorporation of engineering changes into design
  • Other duties as assigned
