About The Position
Contribute your expertise, skills, and experience as an Senior Electrical Engineer by joining our KDM Engineering team. KDM is a growing, award-winning, minority- and woman-owned professional engineering firm focusing on electric, gas, site civil, and telecommunications engineering designs and support services. Sr. Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of experience (ComEd preferred). Will need to coordinate and complete complex distribution designs and will give a complete QA/QC check on other designer's projects.
Requirements
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology Preferred
- P.E. Preferred
- 10 years minimum of experience with Distribution Design, ComEd experience preferred
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards
- Ability to interface effectively with clients, employees, and management team is essential
- Motivated to continually take on more responsibility and lead the team
- Must be willing to comply with all pre-employment screening, including but not limited to, drug testing, reference verification, education and employment verification, and background screening
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Possess a valid Driver's License

Responsibilities
- Leads projects and project team in the execution of several mid-to-large scale projects
- Communicates and coordinates project activities with internal team members
- Perform Quality Assurance (QA) design reviews and Peer Reviews for all project documents
- Performs peer reviews and mentors project team members
- Assists in the preparation of scoping documents and fees
- Prepares and reviews project drawings in TED
- Resolves design questions and technical concerns
- Provides excellent client/customer service
